Aug. 23 Brown Bag Lunch at CCLP
Please join us for a presentation by our Family Economic Security Team and lean more about the challenges facing Colorado women, as we showcase our summer tour: "A woman's life in Colorado."
Although Colorado was one of the first states that allowed women to vote, we still continue to face an uphill battle for economic equality. Women have a lifetime of lower earnings due to wage discrimination, uncompensated absences from the labor market and holding the jobs that are less likely to have employer-sponsored retirement plans. Women make up the majority of households struggling at poverty level, but fewer of us have assets and resources accumulated through inheritance, high-paying jobs and bonuses.
You bring your lunch. We'll provide desserts and drinks. Together we'll talk about how we can reduce poverty and promote self-sufficiency in Colorado.
