Charlie joins CCLP as a Policy Fellow working to address community-based solutions to healthcare access. They bring passion and expertise on equitable policy creation, barriers to access surrounding healthcare and housing, and community organizing to CCLP.
Charlie received their B.S. in Environmental Hydrology and Water Resources from the University of Arizona. From 2014-2016 they served as an Environmental Health Specialist with Peace Corps Panama where they worked with community leaders to form a water committee and co-create culturally-relevant solutions to water access. After they completed their service they moved to Denver and in 2018 began working for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless as a Medicaid Enrollment Specialist. They later transitioned to case management working with chronically homeless families.
Charlie is currently working toward a Masters in Public Administration where they focus on Public Policy and Local Government at the University of Colorado Denver.
