From 2014-2016 they served as an Environmental Health Specialist with Peace Corps Panama where they worked with community leaders to form a water committee and co-create culturally-relevant solutions to water access. After they completed their service they moved to Denver and in 2018 began working for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless as a Medicaid Enrollment Specialist. They later transitioned to case management working with chronically homeless families.
