CCLP Board Hires Tiffani Lennon as Executive Director

Tiffani Lennon, J.D., has been named Executive Director of Colorado Center on Law and Policy. Most recently the President and CEO of Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation in Denver, Ms. Lennon brings expertise in fundraising campaigns, team and talent building to CCLP.
“Speaking on behalf of the CCLP Board of Directors, we are very pleased to welcome Tiffani Lennon as the new Executive Director,” said Nan Morehead, Chair of the Board for CCLP. “The Board and staff conducted a lengthy search and Tiffani emerged as the candidate most-qualified to fit the needs and culture of CCLP. She has extensive experience as a civil rights attorney and a nonprofit manager. This work combined with her strong commitment to the values and issues of CCLP make her an outstanding person to lead our organization forward.”
Previously, Ms. Lennon served as the Vice President of Strategic Development for Ability Connection Colorado and as the Department Chair & Assistant Dean for Special Projects at the University of Denver. Her educational background includes a Latin Legum Magister in International Finance and Economic Law from the University of London Birkbeck College of Law; Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Psychology from Rider University.
Speaking about her new role, Tiffani shared: “I am thrilled to work with an exceptional staff, board of directors and the CCLP community to realize a better future for Coloradans.”
Ms. Lennon takes the reins of CCLP after one of its most successful legislative sessions ever. All 13 of the organization’s key bills were approved by legislators with bipartisan support and signed by Colorado Gov. Jared Polis last session, including a proposal that would infuse the largest investment in building and preserving affordable housing in the state’s history, a bill that establishes a legal defense fund for Coloradans facing eviction and a measure that will help Coloradans with disabilities apply for financial assistance. Learn more about CCLP’s accomplishments in the last session this blog posting.
Established in 1998, CCLP advances the health, security and well-being of low-income Coloradans through research, education, advocacy and litigation. CCLP is widely recognized by policymakers, opinion leaders and advocates for its knowledge, skill and effectiveness in shaping enduring and systemic change in Colorado. That legacy will continue and grow under Ms. Lennon’s leadership.
Lennon will succeed Claire Levy who announced her plans to step down last November after more than five years of leading the organization. Ms. Levy’s last day at CCLP was May 31.
