Sara develops and advocates for policies that will increase access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (or SNAP) and other human service programs that improve Coloradans’ health and economic security.
Previously, Sara worked for Bay Area Legal Aid in San Francisco and San Jose, Calif. as a staff attorney, representing clients at eligibility hearings for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, Social Security Disability Insurance and other public benefits.
Prior to joining CCLP, she also worked for the Watsonville Law Center in Watsonville, Calif., assisting clients who faced employment and consumer justice barriers. Later, she coordinated the Superior Court of Monterey County’s Mental Health Court, a pilot project for dually diagnosed offenders. She also spent eight years as a sole practitioner in the areas of bankruptcy, Social Security and consumer law.
Sara is very excited to work with the talented staff at CCLP and for the opportunity to create a more just legal landscape for all Coloradans.
